For electricians
The things keeping you up at night.
Searches go to somebody else, old customers drift off, and certificates wait for Sunday.
- Nobody finds us when they search.
- The AI assistant names somebody else.
- Enquiries sit in an inbox nobody opens.
- Our solar customers never hear from us.
- The certificate waits for Sunday.
- We pay for apps nobody opens.
Tested, then the paperwork What changed
People stopped searching. They ask an AI.
The same machine now drafts, answers and chases for a business that used to need a team. Get AI Working exists to get that machine working for small businesses like yours.
-
Then: you had to be in the list
Somebody searched, scrolled a page of links, and rang whoever looked closest.
-
Now: one business gets named
Google writes the answer itself and names a business or two.1 Most people never scroll.
-
What to do: be the name in the answer
Build the listing, the pages and the answered reviews a machine can check, then add the rest one at a time.

Asked to recommend a local business in two Blue Mountains towns, an AI assistant named none at all.2 Your licence number belongs in every advertisement, and your licence is a public register too.3,4
A job the customer did not invite gives them ten business days to walk, whatever the emergency.5 We draft and we time; we do not test and we do not certify, because the certificate is the qualified person’s.6,7
A basic connection needs land the council has zoned urban.9 The growth here is a battery on a roof that already has panels.10
Your job software may already chase invoices and follow up a quiet quote: ServiceM8 and Tradify say so on their own pages, read 22 September 2026.
- Verified. Google’s AI features documentation, 10 December 2025: “There are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, nor other special optimizations necessary.” Google, Tips to improve your local ranking on Google, support.google.com, read 29 August 2026, for “There’s no way to request or pay for a better local ranking on Google.” The four things that get a page quoted are a controlled study of 252,000 trials, arXiv:2605.25517; our Get Found page carries it in full.
- Measured by us. Two questions put to an AI assistant on 25 August 2026 for a Blue Mountains business: asked for the best agents in the Lower Blue Mountains it named two franchise brands and no local firm; asked who to use to sell a house in Glenbrook or Blaxland it named no local business at all. One trade, one day, two questions: a shape, not a benchmark.
- Verified. Home Building Regulation 2014 (NSW) cl 33, the advertising clause, verified from the in-force consolidation on legislation.nsw.gov.au on 5 September 2026. A licence holder who publishes, distributes, displays or exhibits “any advertisement of any kind” relating to that work must include their name and licence number, at up to AU$2,200 for a company and up to AU$1,100 otherwise, with no medium named and no digital exemption. cl 37C(c) of the Gas and Electricity (Consumer Safety) Regulation 2018 now requires the “authority number” on every certificate of compliance too.
- Verified. NSW Government Public Register, “Facts about the register”, at onegov.nsw.gov.au, read 5 September 2026. An electrical contractor licence is a contractor licence under the Home Building Act, so s 120(1) puts it on the same public register as every other trade: the category of work, any public warnings or disciplinary action, and whether the licence is suspended or cancelled. It carries no consumer complaints and no open investigations.
- Verified. Australian Consumer Law, Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), Compilation No. 165, compilation date 1 July 2026, read 5 September 2026. s 69 makes an agreement unsolicited where it is negotiated away from the supplier’s premises or by telephone and the consumer did not invite it; s 82(1) lets the consumer terminate up to the end of the tenth business day, and s 86(1) stops the supplier supplying or taking payment inside that window. No emergency switches this off; it runs alongside, not instead of, the Home Building Act’s own cooling-off period.
- Verified. Gas and Electricity (Consumer Safety) Regulation 2018 (NSW), re-fetched on 5 September 2026, and the Amendment (Compliance Certificates) Regulation 2026, published 26 June 2026. cl 37A: a tester must give a certificate of compliance to the Secretary no later than 7 days after completing the test, by lodging it on the NSW eCert portal, or give the information to an eligible entity inside the same 7 days for it to lodge. Maximum penalty up to AU$2,200 for an individual and up to AU$4,400 otherwise. Handwritten and PDF forms have not been accepted since 1 July 2026.
- Verified, and quoted verbatim. Building Commission NSW, “When to submit a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work”, Note 2/2026, read 5 September 2026: “A CCEW must be submitted for any type of electrical work that involves installing, repairing, adding or altering electrical equipment to an electrical installation. This includes like-for-like replacement of electrical equipment such as water heaters, ovens, stove tops and electrical accessories.”
- Verified. Electricity Supply Act 1995 No 94 (NSW), read 5 September 2026. s 31A(1): a person must not provide a contestable network service unless accredited, at a maximum of 500 penalty units, measured at up to AU$55,000. The NSW Climate and Energy Action accredited service provider scheme page adds that individual workers must then be authorised by the local network operator, Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy or Essential Energy, and the Secretary keeps a public list of accredited providers.
- Verified, on accessed dates. Endeavour Energy’s own connection pages, read 5 September 2026. A basic connection needs the land registered and zoned as urban by the local council, maximum demand no greater than 100 amps single phase or 63 amps three phase; where those limits are met, an instant permission to connect often follows online. Not every council in this catchment sits inside Endeavour Energy’s area, and its own pages name regions rather than council boundaries.
- Verified and measured. Clean Energy Regulator, Small-scale installation postcode data, two workbooks downloaded 5 September 2026 and re-measured 8 September 2026 across the thirteen councils of this catchment: 60,753 battery installations against 30,151 new solar installations over the thirteen months to July 2026, 2.01 to one against 1.43 to one nationally. The Regulator’s own caveat: a 12-month creation period means the most recent figures keep rising.

What is in it
The AU$499 starter does the two things every electrician needs first: your Google profile done properly, and every customer asked for a review the lawful way. Spread the payments over 3, 6 or 12 months, interest-free, depending on the size of the work.
A bundle is scoped before it is priced, and whatever your job software already does comes out of it. If ServiceM8 or Tradify is already chasing your invoices, you are not paying us to do it again.
On a quiet website the Sell More bundle carries adverts in their feed instead of adverts to past visitors, because Google needs enough visitors before it will show those. Why

Why us
Six reasons owners pick us.
A local practice that builds in your accounts, hands everything over, and tells you straight.

We set you up, and it’s yours
We set it up in your accounts, hand over every login, and teach you to change it. You don’t pay us forever.
We pick what fits
No packages. We pick the few things that will make the biggest difference, tell you what’s not worth it, and what you can stop paying for.
It costs less to start
Start from AU$499, with the price in writing before we start. Three months’ support included, then optional at AU$99 a month.
We’re where you are
We’re local. We sit down with you in your business, and you can always reach a real person.
It moves fast
Most things are set up in days or a few weeks.
Someone to ask about AI
Not sure who to ask about AI? Ask us: we’ll tell you straight, and we can set it up.
Included with every paid engagement
One hour with us, in person, on the AI you actually want to ask about.
A free workshop on Claude Code or Codex, for you and whoever you bring. Everything we build afterwards sits on it.
Ask what you actually want to ask
Whether it will replace you, what it gets wrong, what it costs to run. No question is too basic.
Say what worries you
Customer data, staff, the law, sounding like a robot. We go through each one with your business in front of us.
Set the goals for the engagement
The hour a week you want back, the enquiry you keep missing. Written down, then measured.
Learn to drive it yourself
By the end you can ask the machine to change your website, redraft an email or rerun a report.

Questions
What electricians ask before they book.
If yours is not here, ask it in your free hour.
Whether you can get an electrician recommended by ChatGPT
Partly, and honestly. Google says in its own documentation that no special files or markup are needed to appear in its AI answers, and the one controlled study of what gets a page quoted found four things: that the page answers the question, states prices, carries recent dates, and can be verified from several directions.1
Whether a like-for-like oven or water heater swap needs a certificate
Yes, and the regulator answered that exact question in writing. Building Commission NSW’s Note 2/2026 says a certificate must be submitted for any type of electrical work that installs, repairs, adds to or alters electrical equipment, including like-for-like replacement of water heaters, ovens, stove tops and electrical accessories.7
Where the certificate goes since 26 June 2026, and how long you have
To the Secretary, on the NSW eCert portal, no later than 7 days after the safety and compliance test, or to an eligible entity inside the same 7 days for it to lodge. Both carry a maximum of up to AU$2,200 for an individual and up to AU$4,400 otherwise.6
Why connection work needs an accredited service provider as well as a licence
Because a third statute says so. Electricity Supply Act s 31A(1) makes it an offence to provide a contestable network service without accreditation, at a maximum of up to AU$55,000, and individual workers must then be authorised by the local network operator as well.8
What it costs, and what you get for it
Any service on the menu is bought on its own, or together as a bundle from AU$1,790 or AU$2,490. The figure is in writing before you commit a dollar, and it is built in accounts you own.
Who owns the accounts, and what happens after
You do: everything is built in accounts under your own passwords, and whatever we build is yours. Three months’ support is included, then it’s optional at AU$99 a month.
