Our approach
Five steps. Every time. Switched on.
Listen, scope, build, train and measure: the same five steps every time, and you read the scope in plain English before you commit to a dollar.
- Quotes go out late, sometimes not at all
- Past customers never hear from us
- The same report typed out every month
- Reviews sitting there with no reply
- What we will do, in plain English
- What it costs, fixed before we start
- What we will measure, and from where
- Which of your data we may touch
How it works
The Switch‑On Method.
Five steps, the same every time, and this is the page that says all of it.
- 1
Listen
A free hour about your business rather than about AI: what you sell, how work arrives, and where the hours disappear. If we do not believe we can genuinely help you hear it on that call, with no pitch and nothing chasing you afterwards.
- 2
Scope
One page in plain English: what we will do, what it costs, what we will measure, and exactly which of your data we may touch. Where you are today goes in writing before anything starts, so the result at the end is a number rather than a feeling.
- 3
Build
Working tools set up inside the accounts you already own, mapped to how you already operate, with nothing to migrate into and no platform of ours in the middle. Where something genuinely needs a subscription it is yours, in your name, at retail.
- 4
Train
Whoever runs your front desk, your quoting or your books is shown how to drive it, on your real work, until it sticks. Training has hours booked against it in the scope, which is what stops it being quietly dropped when a build runs late.
- 5
Measure
At 90 days we measure against day one and show you the before and after. If something did not move you hear it from us first, along with what we think went wrong.
When none of the three moves fit
A booking system nobody can use, a spreadsheet holding the business together, a report assembled by hand every month: we scope it, price it per job and run exactly these five steps. If AI cannot fix it, you hear that free on the first call.
What you keep
What you own when we leave.
Every account is in your name, the only thing left to pay is the plan the work runs on, and whether it worked is a number we agreed on day one.
-
Accounts in your name
Every password, profile and subscription stays in your name, during the engagement and after it. No platform of ours sits in the middle.
-
One plan, bought at retail
What you pay once we have gone is the AI plan the work sits on, and the subscription is yours rather than ours.
-
A number, not a feeling
Where you start goes into the scope before anything is built, so the ending is something you can check rather than argue about.
What an engagement costs you in hours, as well as in money
For most owners the binding constraint is not the fee but the time to be involved at all. Nobody else in this market publishes it, and it is the number that decides whether you can start this quarter.
- The free conversation: An hour, once, with nothing to prepare and nothing to bring.
- Get Found: A short sitting with you, most of it going through the listing together.
- Sell More: About three hours of your time. The heaviest part is approving the wording, because nothing sends until you have read it.
- Get Time Back: About six hours of your time, and it is front-loaded: roughly two of them in the mapping week with whoever actually does the admin.
- The 90-day review: An hour. We bring the numbers; you tell us what actually changed in the business, which is the half we cannot measure.
If you cannot spare those hours this quarter, say so on the call and we will tell you which single piece is worth doing on its own. Starting badly is worse than starting later.
What you are left paying for once we have gone
The free workshop teaches you to ask the machine to change what we built, so what it costs you afterwards is mostly an AI plan in your own name, one per person who keeps using it. You choose Claude or ChatGPT, and we set up whichever you pick.
- Claude Pro, with Claude Code: AU$34 a month, or AU$340 a year.1
- ChatGPT Plus, with Codex: AU$30 a month.2
Anything holding your customers’ details runs on a business plan instead, whose terms say it is not used for training, and that costs more. A few services carry a running cost of their own, such as a phone and text service, and the menu says which.
The domain and the hosting are set up under your own logins, so nothing of ours sits between you and your own website. Nothing we recommend pays us a commission for recommending it.
Your data, and the four rules written into the scope you sign
- Nothing sensitive goes anywhere without a decision: Your customers’ details, financials and anything private go only through AI accounts whose terms say they are not used for training: the business API, or your own business account. Never a free consumer app, whatever a supplier tells you about it.
- You authorise it, in writing, before it happens: The scope names exactly what data we may access and what it is for, and nothing outside that gets touched. When an engagement ends we delete what we hold, on request, and confirm in writing that we have.
- Your team gets rules they can actually follow: One page written for the person doing the job rather than for a lawyer: what may be pasted into an AI tool, what never should, what to do when an answer looks wrong, and who to ask. Every Get Time Back engagement leaves you with it.
- Consent is captured at the point it is given: Where we build anything that sends messages, we record where each contact came from and what they agreed to, at the moment they agree. Under the Spam Act the burden of proving consent sits with you, and a screenshot found six months later is not proof.
Sources & notes
- Published. claude.com/pricing, read from Australia on 26 September 2026: Claude Pro AU$34 a month, or AU$340 a year, and the page notes “Prices include 10% GST”. Claude Code is included in Pro and not in the free plan.
- Published. chatgpt.com/pricing, read from Australia on 26 September 2026: ChatGPT Plus AU$30 a month with expanded Codex use; the free plan and Go, at AU$13 a month, carry limited Codex. The page does not say whether GST is included, and one Australian guide reports it is added at checkout (Reported, not verified). Both vendors change their prices, so check before you sign up.
How we advise
A guide, not a seller.
Most of what the AI industry shouts at a small business is a fad, or built for a company fifty times your size. Telling you not to buy something is part of the product.
-
Nothing we take a cut of
No percentage of your advertising spend and no commission from a software vendor. An adviser paid by the thing being recommended is not an adviser.
-
Every figure carries its status
Each one is marked verified, published or unverified, so you can tell a number we counted ourselves from one we read somewhere.
-
Where no honest figure exists
We publish the gap instead of borrowing an American statistic. Sell More runs a calculator where a figure should be, and says so.
Eight things we will not do, and you should hold us to every one
- Charge you forever: Three months’ support is included, then it’s optional at AU$99 a month, and nothing stops working if you stop paying us.
- Sell you a tool you do not need: Where the free option does the job, that is the recommendation, and we say so in writing.
- Take a percentage of your advertising spend, or a commission from any software vendor: Both quietly change whose side the advice is on.
- Baffle you with jargon: If you need a glossary to read our advice, we have failed and you should say so.
- Promise a result we cannot measure: Every promise arrives with the number that will prove it, agreed before we start.
- Pretend AI replaces your people: We set it up to take the boring work so the people you have do more of the valuable kind.
- Hold your accounts hostage: Passwords, profiles, subscriptions and data are yours from the first day to the last.
- Do anything that needs a registration we do not hold: Lodging a BAS and giving tax advice both sit behind one, and neither is ours.
What a figure has to carry before it goes on this website
A note under it naming who published it, when, and how big the sample was, plus the status word. Where the source is a vendor selling the answer, or the study is American or old, that is printed beside the number rather than left for you to find.
The same engine does your work and ours. Every claim needs a source and nothing goes out until a human has approved it.
Questions
The questions everyone asks.
If yours is not here, ask it in your free hour. We would rather answer it than have you guess at it.
Will AI replace my staff
Not the way we set it up, and if that is the goal we are the wrong people to ring. AI takes the repetitive work, the drafting, chasing and answering the same question for the hundredth time, so the people you already have get more time for customers.
Whether my customers’ information is safe
It is the first thing we sort rather than the last, and the rules above are the whole of it: your customers’ details only through AI accounts whose terms say they are not used for training, written authorisation for anything we touch, and plain-English rules your team keeps. If we cannot tell you where a piece of data goes, it does not go there.
Whether I need new computers or software
Almost never: we build on what you already run, your phone, your laptop and the accounts you already pay for. Where a tool is genuinely needed it is usually a modest subscription in your own name, and you hear about the free alternative first if one exists.
What it costs
A starter at AU$499 for Get Found, then bundles from AU$1,790 for Get Found and AU$2,490 each for Sell More and Get Time Back, or any service on the menu on its own, with the scope spelt out before you say yes. Spread the payments over 3, 6 or 12 months, interest-free, depending on the size of the work; three months’ support is included, then it is optional at AU$99 a month.
What happens if it does not work for my business
We record where you started and measure at 90 days, so whether it worked is a number rather than an argument. If we do not believe we can move that number, you hear it before we take a dollar.
Why not just use ChatGPT ourselves
You can, and for some jobs you should; we will tell you which ones on the first call, for free. What we add is knowing which jobs are worth it, setting the tools up safely inside how you already work, and training your people so it does not fizzle out after a fortnight.
Start here, free
Bring us the job that is costing you the most.
An hour, free, about your business rather than about AI. You leave with an insight portal: a private page about your business, your trade and your area.
Or write to hello@getaiworking.com.au, answered by the person who would do the work. What happens after
- Fix the Google profile first
- Check what the AI assistants say
- Pick the one job to hand over
- Your business, checked
- Your trade, compared
- Your area, mapped
