Working

For vets

Found on Google. More new clients. Estimates drafted.

AI changed how people find a practice for their pet. We come to you, pick the few fixes that make the biggest difference, and set them up in your own accounts.

For vets

The things keeping you up at night.

New clients go elsewhere, the book has gaps, and the notes wait for the end of the day.

  • Nobody finds us when they search.
  • Another practice gets named first.
  • Gaps open in the book every week.
  • Nobody has time for marketing.
  • Notes wait for the end of the day.
  • We pay for apps nobody opens.

What changed

People stopped searching. They ask an AI.

The same machine now answers and drafts for a practice that used to need a bigger front desk. Get AI Working exists to get that machine working for practices like yours.

  • Then: you had to be in the list

Somebody searched, scrolled a page of links, and rang whoever looked closest. Everybody listed was in the running.

  • Now: one practice gets named

Google writes the answer itself and the AI assistants name a practice or two. Most people never scroll.

  • What to do: be the name in the answer

Build the listing, the pages and the reviews a machine can check, in names the Board’s own policy accepts.3

Sources + notes

Asked to recommend a local business in two Blue Mountains towns, an AI assistant named none at all.1 Of 90 autocomplete suggestions measured outside the pet insurance prefix, 6 name opening hours and 8 name a cost or a way to pay.6

The testimonial ban binds the registered health professions, and it reaches no veterinary practice.2 What does reach you is the Board’s own naming policy, which is why the pages use the names it accepts.3

No special files or markup are needed to appear in Google’s AI answers.4 Outreach goes only to the clients you hold consent for, and every sequence stops on a reply.5

The Code makes you give an estimate before you treat, and a written one is the cheapest way to prove you did.8 The Board’s own guideline asks you to tell the client when AI writes up a consult, and to get their consent.9

ezyVet already automates reminders on a standard of care due date, so whatever yours does comes off the scope.7 The thirteen councils of this catchment hold 145 of the 712 licensed veterinary hospitals in New South Wales.10

We are based in Blaxland and work up to Katoomba, 38.6km by road.11

  1. Measured by us. Two questions put to an AI assistant on 25 August 2026 for a Blue Mountains business: asked for the best agents in the Lower Blue Mountains it named two franchise brands and no local firm; asked who to use to sell a house in Glenbrook or Blaxland it named no local business at all. One catchment, one day, two questions: a shape, not a benchmark.
  2. Verified. Veterinary Practice Act 2003 (NSW) and Veterinary Practice Regulation 2013 (NSW), read from legislation.nsw.gov.au 6 September 2026. Measured the same day over the whole Health Practitioner Regulation National Law as it applies in New South Wales, 4,765 lines: the string “veterin” appears zero times, and its s 5 list of 16 health professions does not include veterinary. So s 133 and the testimonial ban, all of which our health practices page carries, reach no veterinary practice. The Australian Consumer Law reaches a veterinary practice in full.
  3. Verified. Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW, policy PH03 Business Names for Veterinary Practices, issue June 2017, downloaded 6 September 2026. Act s 66(2)(a) protects “veterinary hospital”, “veterinary practice”, “animal hospital” and “animal doctor”; PH03 adds “veterinary clinic”, “veterinary surgery”, “animal clinic” and “animal surgery” as unacceptable for unlicensed premises.
  4. Verified. Google’s AI features documentation, 10 December 2025: “There are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, nor other special optimizations necessary.” Our Get Found page carries the study behind what gets a page quoted in full.
  5. Verified. ACMA media releases and enforcement register, read 29 August 2026. Latitude Finance, 15 April 2026, AU$3,960,000. TAB, 22 July 2026, AU$2,758,800. The consent-first rule is the Spam Act 2003 (Cth); our Sell More page sets out the rules and the caps.
  6. Measured. Google autocomplete for Australia, run 6 September 2026, ten prefixes, all HTTP 200. Excluding the pet insurance prefix, 6 of the other 90 suggestions name opening hours and 8 name a cost or a way to pay, including “vet near me that does payment plans”.
  7. Verified. ezyVet (ezyvet.com/features/), read 22 September 2026: “Automated Reminders - Set automated reminders based on a standard of care due date, like a vaccine or an appointment date.” Reported, not verified: ezyVet's own knowledge-base pages on its Streamlined Estimates feature (SMS or email delivery, e-signature acceptance, automatic invoicing on acceptance) return a browser-only shell to a plain fetch, so this is read from independent summaries rather than a page opened directly.
  8. Verified. Code of Professional Conduct, Schedule 2 to the Veterinary Practice Regulation 2013 (NSW), read 6 September 2026. cl 16 requires the practitioner, where practicable and before providing services, to inform the client of the likely extent and outcome and the estimated cost. The clause contains no number, no writing requirement and no prescribed form.
  9. Verified. AI Based Record Keeping and Note Taking, Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW, reference GR15, issue November 2025, downloaded 6 September 2026. Point 5: “Veterinarians must inform the client when AI is used and obtain consent.” It also requires the AI-generated record to be “clearly identifiable and labelled”. It is a Board guideline rather than a regulation.
  10. Verified. Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW, its public registers, read 6 September 2026 and re-measured 8 September 2026 across the thirteen councils of this catchment: 145 licensed veterinary hospitals of the 712 in New South Wales.
  11. Reported, not verified. The Blaxland to Katoomba road distance of 38.62km is published by distance-cities.com, accessed 20 August 2026.

What we set up

What it looks like on a real day.

Drawn examples of what we set up, not client results.

The services behind it

What it costs

What it costs, and how you pay.

Three bundles, each priced from a figure that moves with your practice, or any service on its own.

The AU$499 starter does the two things every practice needs first: your Google profile done properly, and every client asked for a review the same way. Spread the payments over 3, 6 or 12 months, interest-free, depending on the size of the work.

A bundle is scoped before it is priced. If ezyVet already sends your reminders, we are not paid to do it again.

On a quiet website the Sell More bundle carries adverts in their feed instead of adverts to past visitors, because Google needs enough visitors before it will show those. Why

How it works

The Switch‑On Method.

Five steps, the same every time. Switched on inside 30 days.

  1. Listen

A free first hour about your business, not about AI. You leave with your insight portal: a private page about your business, your trade and your area.

  2. Scope

One page in plain English: what we do, what it costs, what we measure.

  3. Build

Set up inside the accounts you already own. Nothing to migrate into.

  4. Train

Your people shown how to drive it, on your real work, until it sticks.

  5. Measure

At 90 days we measure against day one and show you the before and after.

Why us

Six reasons owners pick us.

A local practice that builds in your accounts, hands everything over, and tells you straight.

Rory McNeil
Rory McNeilFounder, in BlaxlandThe person on the call, the person who builds it, and the person who shows your people how to drive it.
  1. We set you up, and it’s yours

We set it up in your accounts, hand over every login, and teach you to change it. You don’t pay us forever.

  2. We pick what fits

No packages. We pick the few things that will make the biggest difference, tell you what’s not worth it, and what you can stop paying for.

  3. It costs less to start

Start from AU$499, with the price in writing before we start. Three months’ support included, then optional at AU$99 a month.

  4. We’re where you are

We’re local. We sit down with you in your business, and you can always reach a real person.

  5. It moves fast

Most things are set up in days or a few weeks.

  6. Someone to ask about AI

Not sure who to ask about AI? Ask us: we’ll tell you straight, and we can set it up.

Included with every paid engagement

One hour with us, in person, on the AI you actually want to ask about.

A free workshop on Claude Code or Codex, for you and whoever you bring. Everything we build afterwards sits on it.

  • Ask what you actually want to ask

Whether it will replace you, what it gets wrong, what it costs to run. No question is too basic.

  • Say what worries you

Customer data, staff, the law, sounding like a robot. We go through each one with your business in front of us.

  • Set the goals for the engagement

The hour a week you want back, the enquiry you keep missing. Written down, then measured.

  • Learn to drive it yourself

By the end you can ask the machine to change your website, redraft an email or rerun a report.

Questions

What practice owners ask before they book.

If yours is not here, ask it in your free hour.

Whether a veterinary practice may ask a client for a review

Yes, and the rule most practices have been told applies here does not. The testimonial ban binds the registered health professions, and measured over the whole National Law as it applies in New South Wales the string “veterin” appears zero times.2

What your own Board says about using AI to write up a consult

Its guideline of November 2025 requires you to tell the client AI is being used and obtain consent, and to label the AI-generated record. It is a Board guideline rather than a regulation, and we build to it either way.9

Whether you can get a veterinary practice recommended by ChatGPT

Partly, and honestly. Google says in its own documentation that no special files or markup are needed to appear in its AI answers, and the one controlled study of what gets a page quoted found four things: that the page answers the question, states prices, carries recent dates, and can be verified from several directions.4

Whether your practice software already sends the reminder

For many practices, yes: ezyVet says its own automated reminders run on “a standard of care due date, like a vaccine or an appointment date”.7 We build around what your software already does, not on top of it twice.

Whether any of this means changing your practice management system

No. Everything is built beside it in accounts under your own passwords, and the migration you have been putting off stays put off.

What it costs, and who owns the accounts afterwards

Any service on the menu is bought on its own, or together as a bundle from AU$1,790 or AU$2,490, in writing before you commit a dollar. You own the accounts and the passwords, and whatever we build is yours, with three months’ support included and optional support at AU$99 a month after that.

Find out who Google names for pet owners near you.

An hour, at the practice or on the phone, and free: we show you what Google and the AI assistants say about your practice and who they name instead. This page and that conversation are general information, not legal advice.
